Areas of Interest: Andrew enjoys working with production animals most, especially sheep, beef and deer, but relishes the variety and intensive nature of dairy work, especially when it comes to surgery. He also enjoys consultancy and reproductive work having helped set up our EweFirst programme and facilitating two discussion groups.

Who Am I? Andrew started here in early 2015 after a break from vet work travelling Europe. Graduating from Massey in 2010, he spent his first 3 and a half years working as a mixed animal vet in Oamaru, gaining a solid grounding in all aspects of veterinary work. Born and bred on a 1500ha sheep and beef farm near Clinton, the allure of the South (not so much the weather) has seen him make the pilgrimage back down to the picturesque landscape of Northern Southland. Outside of work he enjoys playing most sports, travelling and the great outdoors - hunting, tramping and any excuse to get out on the water (lake or sea). If there is any time left you might find him playing his guitar or in his workshop finishing his latest woodwork project.
